The Ottawa Prime are a men's professional ice-hockey team playing in Kanata, a suburb of Ottawa, Ontario. However, they represent the city of Ottawa, along with Kanata and the surrounding metropolitan area. They are members of the Southern Ontario Division of the Eastern Conference. in the Canadian Hockey League, or the CHL. The franchise was founded before the 1997 CHL season, when the Ottawa Prime Ministers were renamed. As the Prime, they have yet to qualify for a Donavan Cup Championship Series.
